PlayStation Classic console is $39.99 at Walmart

Sony’s PlayStation Classic mini console is $39.99 at Walmart for a limited time. This is $60 off the price at which it debuted in November, though you can usually find the console for a little over $50. Similar in approach to Nintendo’s popular NES Classic and SNES Classic, the PlayStation Classic includes a single wired controller and comes with 20 preinstalled games from the PS1 era, including Metal Gear SolidTekken 3Twisted Metal, and Final Fantasy VII.
There are a handful of reasons why it’s gotten so cheap in so little time. Due to a rather weak game selection (where are UmJammer LammyResident Evil 2, or Legend of Dragoon?) and questionable emulation choices (pushing 50Hz PAL format for some games), it hasn’t been as well-received, so it isn’t as high in demand as Nintendo’s retro consoles. But if you’re a PlayStation fan, there’s certainly fun to be had. If you’re after a second controller, this $20 8BitDo Bluetooth adapter can let you sync your DualShock 4 to play on the PlayStation Classic.
