Xiaomi sells 1 million Redmi Note 4s in just 45 days in India

It looks like business is good for Xiaomi in India. In January, the company announced that its revenue in 2016 exceeded $1 billion in the country. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has another reason to celebrate.
It recently announced that it sold one million Redmi Note 4 smartphones in India in the 45 days since it launched. This means that it sold one unit every four seconds. Additionally, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Note 4 is currently the fastest device to sell one million units in India.
Xiaomi’s smartphones are quite popular among Indian consumers, mainly because of the great price-performance ratio they offer. During the Redmi Note 4 flash sale, Xiaomi sold 250,000 devices in just 10 minutes.
As a refresher, the popular smartphone is available in three different variants in the country. You can get your hands on a 2GB/32GB model for Rs. 9,999, a 3GB/32GB version that retails for Rs. 10,999, or the variant that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which will set you back Rs. 12,999.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset. It comes equipped with a 13MP primary camera and a selfie snapper with a 5MP sensor.
Other features worth mentioning are a 4,100mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a metal body available in Gold, Grey, Matte Black, or Silver. It ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board with Xiaomi’s custom skin on top.
