Polk Command Bar review: A decent, inexpensive soundbar with Alexa

Polk had the interesting idea of putting an Echo Dot into a soundbar, not only offering something that sounds better than your TV's speakers, but also adding Alexa to your living room. This all-in-one solution was dubbed the Command Bar, an unassuming soundbar that also happens to have what looks like an actual Echo Dot shoved in the middle. If you want Alexa in your living room and to simultaneously improve your listening experience, then the Command Bar is for you. It provides pretty good sound – certainly adequate for the average consumer – and you have the added bonus of a smart speaker. You can even tell the soundbar to change inputs, adjust volume and bass levels, and so on. However, if you already have an Echo device in (or near) your living room, the Command Bar isn't the best product to buy. At a $299 MSRP, it doesn't hold up to similar options in this price point. Android 1.0 versus Android 9: A visual tour of how far we've come in a decade

Android has changed tremendously in the last ten years. Returning to modern hardware after our   historical series , I was struck by the visual differences across versions. For a closer look, we rolled back to an   even earlier   build on our T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream. For anyone who might be curious, here's a quick visual exploration of Android 1.0 vs. Android 9 Pie. And don't worry, this isn't one of those godawful click-for-every-photo galleries, just a simple scroll as we stroll back in time. Initially, I halfheartedly planned on using the G1 for another week on Android 1.0, but ultimately decided that I had already spent enough time exploring Android history firsthand. Even so, one last flash was in order, so I rolled back all the way to R29 for a quick look at the first consumer-facing version of everyone's favorite mobile operating system.
