Samsung already pushing out December security patch even though it’s November

According to SamMobile, certain Samsung devices are now receiving the December security patch. This is unusual considering we are still in November and even Google Pixel devices haven’t seen the December patch yet.
The new security patch is hitting Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 devices in Europe. The update lands as software version N97*FXXS1ASKB for the Note 10 across 25 different countries while the Note 9 version comes in as N960FXXS4CSK2 to Germany only.
Reportedly, there are no new software updates or feature additions with this patch. It’s just the December security patch and nothing more. This makes sense considering Samsung is neck-deep right now in various Android 10 beta programs for its flagships and is expected to push out a stable version of One UI 2.0 to various handsets very soon.
If you live in Europe and own a Note 10 or Note 10 Plus, you can check right now for the December security patch. Just open the Settings app, select Software Update, and then Download and Install. Once again, you’ll need to be in Europe for this to work.
The December security patch will likely make it to Samsung devices in other countries over the next few days. Who knows, it might beat Pixel devices here in the US, too.
